Ingredients
-
12 slider rolls (soft, sweet Hawaiian-style rolls work great)
-
6 large eggs
-
1/2 cup milk
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
1 tbsp butter
-
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (or 6 breakfast sausage patties)
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
1/4 cup melted butter (for brushing)
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
-
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
-
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
Prepare the Eggs: In a bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper together. In a skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and scramble until just set (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.
-
Prepare the Sliders: Slice the slider rolls in half, keeping them attached. Place the bottom halves of the rolls on a baking sheet or in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
-
Assemble the Sliders: Layer the scrambled eggs, cooked bacon (or sausage), and shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top of the bottom rolls. Place the top halves of the rolls on top.
-
Make the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic powder, and Dijon mustard (if using). Brush the butter mixture over the top of the assembled sliders.
-
Bake the Sliders: Cover the sliders with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then, uncover and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted, and the rolls are golden brown.
-
Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve warm!
Notes
-
Protein Variations: Feel free to swap the bacon for sausage patties, ham, or even vegetarian options like sautéed mushrooms and spinach.
-
Make Ahead: You can assemble the sliders the night before, cover them, and refrigerate. Then, simply bake in the morning.
-
Cheese Options: Try other cheeses like Swiss, pepper jack, or mozzarella for different flavor profiles.
