Description

This classic Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast is the ultimate way to kickstart your day! With savory sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melted cheese all sandwiched in a warm, toasted English muffin or on a biscuit, this breakfast is quick, satisfying, and perfect for busy mornings. It’s like a homemade breakfast sandwich that everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 breakfast sausage patties

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)

  • 4 English muffins (or biscuits, if preferred)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the sausage patties until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Once done, remove from the skillet and set aside.

  • While the sausage is cooking, split and toast the English muffins (or biscuits) until golden brown.

  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Scramble the eggs until fully cooked, about 3-5 minutes.

  • Once the eggs are cooked, top each portion of eggs with a slice of cheese and let it melt.

  • To assemble, place a sausage patty on the bottom half of each toasted English muffin. Add the cheesy scrambled eggs on top, and place the other muffin half on top to create a sandwich.

  • Serve hot, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can use turkey sausage or any other preferred breakfast meat for a lighter version.

  • For extra flavor, you can sauté some onions, peppers, or spinach with the eggs.

  • If you’re making this in advance, the sausage, eggs, and cheese can be stored separately in the refrigerator and assembled when ready to eat.

  • These sandwiches also work well as a make-ahead breakfast for meal prep. Simply wrap them up and refrigerate or freeze until needed.
