Description

These Chocolate Heart Pretzels combine the perfect balance of sweet and salty, making them the ultimate treat for Valentine’s Day. Crisp pretzels shaped like hearts are dipped in smooth, melted chocolate and topped with colorful sprinkles or candies. They’re an easy and fun way to celebrate the holiday with a delicious, crowd-pleasing snack!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 2 cups mini pretzels (preferably heart-shaped, if available)
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips (or chocolate melts)
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips (for drizzling, optional)
  • Valentine’s Day sprinkles or small candy hearts (for decoration)

Instructions

  • Prepare the pretzels: Lay a piece of parchment paper or a silicone baking mat on a baking sheet. Arrange the mini pretzels in a single layer on the sheet.
  • Melt the chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted.
  • Dip the pretzels: Using a spoon or fork, dip each pretzel halfway into the melted chocolate, letting any excess chocolate drip off before placing it back on the parchment paper.
  • Decorate: While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle with Valentine’s Day sprinkles or place small candy hearts on top for an extra festive touch.
  • Optional white chocolate drizzle: In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips and drizzle over the dipped pretzels for added decoration and contrast.
  • Let the chocolate set: Allow the chocolate on the pretzels to cool and harden at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or place them in the fridge for 10-15 minutes for faster setting.
  • Serve and enjoy: Once the chocolate has fully set, serve the chocolate-covered pretzels in a decorative bowl or gift them to someone special!

Notes

  • If you want to make these extra festive, use colored sprinkles, edible glitter, or red and pink candy hearts for decoration.
  • You can also swap the semi-sweet chocolate for dark chocolate if you prefer a richer flavor.
  • These make great gifts for Valentine’s Day when packaged in a cute gift box or bag.
