Description
Soft, sweet, and gooey monkey bread made with fluffy dough balls rolled in cinnamon brown sugar and baked until golden. Drizzled with a simple glaze, this pull-apart treat is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.
Ingredients
For the pan:

2 Tbsp softened butter
Dough:

2 Tbsp melted butter

1 cup warm milk (105–110°F)

⅓ cup warm water (105–110°F)

¼ cup (53 g) granulated sugar

2¼ tsp instant yeast

3¼ cups (462 g) all-purpose flour

2 tsp salt
Brown Sugar Coating:

1 cup (212 g) packed light brown sugar

2 tsp ground cinnamon
-
½ cup (113 g) butter, melted
Glaze:

1 cup (114 g) confectioners’ sugar

2 Tbsp milk
Instructions

Prepare the pan:

Grease a bundt or tube pan with 2 tablespoons softened butter.

Make the dough:

In a large bowl, combine warm milk, warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.

Add melted butter, flour, and salt; mix until a soft dough forms. Knead until smooth and elastic (~5-7 min).

Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

Shape & coat:

Punch down dough; tear into small balls (~1-1.5 inch).

Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.

Dip each dough ball in melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar. Layer in prepared pan.

Cover and let rise 30 minutes.

Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Glaze:

Whisk confectioners’ sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over warm monkey bread.

For extra richness, add chopped nuts or raisins between layers.
