1 cup (220 g) packed brown sugar
-
½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
-
2 large eggs
-
2 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
-
¾ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
-
Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang.
-
In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
-
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
-
Spread half of the cookie dough evenly in the prepared pan. Drizzle half the caramel sauce over dough, gently swirling with a knife.
-
Layer remaining cookie dough on top, spreading evenly. Drizzle remaining caramel and swirl again.
-
Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the top.
-
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until edges are golden and center is set but still soft.
-
Cool completely in pan before lifting out and cutting into bars.
Notes
Let bars cool fully for clean slicing.
