  • Author: Norah
  • Total Time: 1 hour 20 minutes (including chilling)
  • Yield: About 36 truffles 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Deliciously soft and creamy truffles inspired by classic snickerdoodle cookies, made with crushed Golden Oreos, cream cheese, cinnamon, and coated in sweet white chocolate with a cinnamon-sugar sprinkle.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Filling:

  • 14.3-ounce package Golden Oreos (about 36 cookies)

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon

For the Coating:

  • 20 ounces Ghirardelli white chocolate wafers, divided and melted

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided

Instructions

  • Crush Golden Oreos finely using a food processor or by placing them in a bag and crushing with a rolling pin.

  • In a mixing bowl, combine crushed Oreos, softened cream cheese, and 3 teaspoons cinnamon. Mix until well blended and dough-like.

  • Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and place on parchment-lined baking sheets. Freeze for 15–20 minutes.

  • Meanwhile, melt 10 ounces of white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

  • Dip chilled truffles into melted white chocolate, coating completely. Return to parchment paper.

  • In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar with ½ teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle or roll coated truffles in cinnamon-sugar mixture before the coating sets.

  • For an extra touch, melt remaining 10 ounces white chocolate and drizzle over truffles after coating sets, then sprinkle remaining cinnamon over drizzle.

  • Refrigerate truffles until firm, about 1 hour. Store in airtight container in fridge.

Notes

Use quality white chocolate for smooth coating.

Adjust cinnamon in filling and coating to your taste preference.

These freeze well for longer storage.
