Description

Angel Chicken Rice is a creamy, comforting dish that combines tender chicken, fluffy rice, and a rich, cheesy sauce. It’s quick, easy to make, and perfect for busy nights when you want something warm and satisfying!


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, diced or shredded
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • ½ cup butter, room temperature and cubed
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature and cubed
  • 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.7 ounce Italian dressing mix (Good Seasons)
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 2 cups shredded Colby Jack cheese, divided use
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Sauce: In a large bowl, combine butter, cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, garlic, Italian dressing mix, and chicken stock. Stir until smooth and well-mixed.
  • Mix the Chicken & Rice: In a separate bowl, combine the cooked chicken and cooked rice.
  • Combine: Pour the creamy sauce mixture over the chicken and rice, stirring until everything is evenly coated.
  • Add Cheese: Fold in 1 ½ cups of shredded Colby Jack cheese into the mixture.
  • Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of Colby Jack cheese on top.
  • Bake the Dish: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.

 

  • Finish & Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can add vegetables like peas or spinach to this dish to add more color and flavor.
  • This recipe can easily be made ahead of time and baked when needed.

 

  • If you prefer a bit more flavor, you can increase the amount of garlic or use a different cheese like cheddar.
