Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced or pressed

  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano

  • ½ teaspoon dried basil

  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • 2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tablespoons chopped flat-leaf Italian parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. Make the garlic mixture: In a large bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and lemon zest.

  3. Coat the shrimp: Add shrimp to the bowl and toss until evenly coated.

  4. Arrange: Spread shrimp in a single layer on the baking sheet.

  5. Add cheese: Sprinkle Parmesan evenly over the shrimp.

  6. Bake: Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until shrimp are pink, opaque, and cooked through.

  7. Garnish and serve: Remove from oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

Optional: Squeeze a bit of lemon juice over the shrimp right before serving for extra brightness.
