- 8 mini croissants
- 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese (or regular cheddar), halved
- ¾ pound deli-cut ham
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- ½ to 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 large egg white
- Poppy seeds, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice each croissant in half horizontally.
- Lay the bottom halves of the croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Place one slice of halved cheddar cheese on each croissant bottom.
- Layer the deli ham over the cheese, dividing it evenly between the croissants.
- In a small bowl, combine softened butter, yellow mustard, honey, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until smooth.
- Brush the mustard-honey mixture generously over the ham layer.
- Place the top halves of the croissants on top.
- Brush the egg white over the tops of the croissants for a golden, shiny finish.
- Sprinkle poppy seeds over the egg-washed croissants.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
