Description

These Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Bombs are the perfect bite-sized snack for pizza lovers! Fluffy biscuit dough filled with gooey mozzarella cheese and savory pepperoni, brushed with garlic butter, and topped with Parmesan and Italian seasoning. Serve them with marinara sauce for dipping for a fun and delicious treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or cheese sticks cut into small pieces)
  • 24 slices pepperoni (about 3 slices per bomb)
  • 1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce, plus more for dipping
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Biscuits: Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit slightly using your fingers or a rolling pin.
  • Stuff the Biscuits: Place 3 slices of pepperoni and a generous tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese in the center of each biscuit. Fold the edges of the dough up and around the filling to seal each bomb.
  • Arrange in Baking Dish: Place each stuffed biscuit seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
  • Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush the mixture over the top of the pizza bombs.
  • Bake the Pizza Bombs: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbling inside.
  • Garnish and Serve: Once out of the oven, garnish with fresh basil or parsley, if desired. Serve with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • You can swap out the pepperoni for other pizza toppings like sausage, bacon, or vegetables to suit your taste.
  • For an extra cheesy filling, add ricotta or a blend of cheeses like cheddar or provolone.
  • To make these in advance, you can assemble the pizza bombs, cover them, and refrigerate them for up to 24 hours before baking.
