Description

These Cheesy Taco Sticks are a fun, easy-to-make snack or appetizer that combine flavorful seasoned ground beef with gooey colby jack and cheddar cheese wrapped in flaky pizza dough. Perfect for game day, parties, or a tasty kid-friendly treat!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix (or homemade taco seasoning)

  • 1 tube Pillsbury pizza dough

  • 5 colby jack and cheddar cheese sticks, halved

  • 4 tbsp butter, melted

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp dried parsley


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess fat.

  • Stir in the taco seasoning and cook according to packet instructions or until well combined. Set aside to cool slightly.

  • Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 10 equal strips (about 1 inch wide).

  • Place a half cheese stick on one end of each dough strip, top with a spoonful of seasoned beef, then roll up tightly, pinching the edges to seal.

  • Place rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Mix melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley. Brush the tops of the rolls with the butter mixture.

  • Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is melted.

 

  • Serve warm with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.

Notes

Use any taco seasoning blend you like or make your own for a fresher taste.

Substitute beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.

For extra crispiness, sprinkle the tops with a little grated parmesan before baking.
