Description
These Cheesy Taco Sticks are a fun, easy-to-make snack or appetizer that combine flavorful seasoned ground beef with gooey colby jack and cheddar cheese wrapped in flaky pizza dough. Perfect for game day, parties, or a tasty kid-friendly treat!
Ingredients
-
1 lb ground beef
-
1 packet taco seasoning mix (or homemade taco seasoning)
-
1 tube Pillsbury pizza dough
-
5 colby jack and cheddar cheese sticks, halved
-
4 tbsp butter, melted
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp dried parsley
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
-
Stir in the taco seasoning and cook according to packet instructions or until well combined. Set aside to cool slightly.
-
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 10 equal strips (about 1 inch wide).
-
Place a half cheese stick on one end of each dough strip, top with a spoonful of seasoned beef, then roll up tightly, pinching the edges to seal.
-
Place rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
-
Mix melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley. Brush the tops of the rolls with the butter mixture.
-
Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
-
Serve warm with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.
Notes
Use any taco seasoning blend you like or make your own for a fresher taste.
Substitute beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
For extra crispiness, sprinkle the tops with a little grated parmesan before baking.
