Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 lb linguine

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

¾ cup heavy cream

½ cup Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving

¼ cup dry white wine

¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions

Season shrimp with salt, black pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Set aside.

Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned, stirring constantly.

Gradually whisk in white wine and heavy cream. Cook, whisking frequently, until sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.

Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with additional salt, pepper, or Cajun seasoning to taste.

Return shrimp to skillet and toss to coat with sauce.

Add cooked linguine to skillet and toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
