Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 3 cups cooked pasta (penne, fusilli, or rigatoni work well)
- 2 cups Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup frozen peas (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Mix the Casserole: In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cooked pasta, Alfredo sauce, sautéed garlic, frozen peas (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir everything together until evenly mixed.
- Assemble the Casserole: Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbling and the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve!
Notes
- You can add other vegetables like broccoli or spinach to the casserole for extra flavor and nutrients.
- For a lighter version, use a low-fat Alfredo sauce or make your own with light cream or milk.
- If you don’t have mozzarella, you can use a blend of other cheeses like cheddar or gouda.
