Description

This Chicken Alfredo Casserole is a creamy, comforting dish filled with tender chicken, pasta, and a rich Alfredo sauce, all baked together with gooey mozzarella and Parmesan. It’s the perfect weeknight dinner that the whole family will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 3 cups cooked pasta (penne, fusilli, or rigatoni work well)
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup frozen peas (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Mix the Casserole: In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cooked pasta, Alfredo sauce, sautéed garlic, frozen peas (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir everything together until evenly mixed.
  • Assemble the Casserole: Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbling and the cheese is melted and golden brown.

  • Garnish and Serve: Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve!

Notes

  • You can add other vegetables like broccoli or spinach to the casserole for extra flavor and nutrients.
  • For a lighter version, use a low-fat Alfredo sauce or make your own with light cream or milk.

  • If you don’t have mozzarella, you can use a blend of other cheeses like cheddar or gouda.
