Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 12 mini sausages (such as cocktail sausages or little smokies)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp coarse sea salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for brushing)
- Mustard
- Ketchup
- Cheese sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
- Cut each crescent roll triangle into smaller strips (about 1-inch wide) to wrap around the mini sausages.
- Wrap each mini sausage tightly with a strip of crescent dough, pinching the ends to seal.
- Place the wrapped sausages on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a small space between each.
- Brush each pretzel-wrapped sausage with the beaten egg, and sprinkle lightly with coarse sea salt.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and the sausages are heated through.
- Optional: For an extra touch, lightly brush the pretzels with olive oil after baking for a glossy finish.
- Serve warm with mustard, ketchup, or cheese sauce for dipping.
Notes
- You can use store-bought dough or make your own pretzel dough for a more authentic taste.
- For a twist, try using different types of sausages, like spicy or smoked sausage links.
- These can be made ahead of time and reheated in the oven for a quick snack or appetizer.
