  • 1 package (30 oz) frozen hash browns, thawed

  • 12 large eggs

  • 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)

  • 1/2 cup diced onion (optional)

  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon or sausage (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter (for greasing)


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil or melted butter.

  • Spread the thawed hash browns evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.

  • Pour the egg mixture over the hash browns in the baking dish.

  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top. Add diced onions and crumbled bacon or sausage if desired.

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.

 

  • Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.
