Description

These High Protein Turkey Meatballs are packed with flavor and nutrition! Made with lean ground turkey, they’re low in fat and high in protein, making them a perfect option for a healthy meal or snack. Tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, they’re easy to prepare and perfect for meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey (preferably lean or extra lean)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (or gluten-free breadcrumbs)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying or baking)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, oregano, onion powder, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1-1.5 inches in diameter (you should get around 16-20 meatballs depending on size).
  • For baking: Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
    • For frying: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for 7-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until they’re browned on all sides and cooked through.
  • Serve immediately with marinara sauce, pasta, or enjoy them as a protein-packed snack!

Notes

  • You can make these meatballs ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • For a dairy-free version, simply omit the Parmesan or substitute with a dairy-free cheese alternative.
  • You can add finely chopped vegetables like spinach or zucchini for extra nutrition.
