  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • ½ cup butter (room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ cup smooth peanut butter

 

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Cream the butter and peanut butter: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and peanut butter together until smooth and creamy using an electric mixer or stand mixer.
  • Add sugar and milk: Gradually add the confectioners sugar, one cup at a time, and beat on low speed to prevent the sugar from flying everywhere. Once all the sugar is added, pour in the milk and vanilla extract.
  • Beat until smooth: Continue beating the frosting on medium-high speed until it’s light, fluffy, and smooth. If the frosting is too thick, you can add a little more milk, one teaspoon at a time, until it reaches your desired consistency.

 

  • Use immediately: Frost your cake, cupcakes, or cookies with this delicious peanut butter frosting. If it’s too soft, chill it in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to firm it up.

Notes

  • You can adjust the consistency by adding more milk for a smoother frosting or more powdered sugar for a thicker frosting.
  • If you prefer a more intense peanut butter flavor, you can add a little extra peanut butter, but be sure to adjust the sugar accordingly.
