Balanced with tangy apple cider vinegar and fresh parsley, it’s a healthy, satisfying dinner that comes together in under 30 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Skillet

  • 14 oz chicken or turkey sausage, sliced into ½-inch rounds

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, cut into ½-inch cubes

  • 2 cups broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

For the Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 4 medium garlic cloves, minced

  • ¼ cup honey

  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • Salt and pepper to taste

To Finish

  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sausage slices and cook for 4–5 minutes, until browned.

  2. Add sweet potatoes to the skillet and sauté for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add broccoli and cook for another 4–5 minutes until vegetables are just tender.

  3. While the vegetables cook, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and garlic in a small bowl.

  4. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the sausage and veggies. Stir to coat everything evenly. Let simmer for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.

Serve over rice or quinoa for a more filling meal.
