Ingredients
-
1 pound medium shrimp (thawed & peeled)
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
-
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
-
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
-
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
-
8–10 medium flour tortillas
-
Toppings (optional, to taste): sour cream, salsa, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, etc.
Instructions
-
Prepare the Shrimp:
In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin, and chili powder. Toss the shrimp in olive oil and sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the shrimp, making sure they’re evenly coated. -
Cook the Shrimp:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove from heat. -
Warm the Tortillas:
While the shrimp are cooking, warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds per side or until they’re warm and slightly golden. -
Assemble the Tacos:
Place the cooked shrimp onto the warmed tortillas. Add your favorite toppings, such as sour cream, salsa, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and cilantro. -
Serve:
Serve immediately with a side of lime wedges for a refreshing citrus kick.
Notes
Toppings: Feel free to customize the toppings based on your preference. A squeeze of lime, a sprinkle of cheese, or a few slices of avocado will add extra flavor and texture.
Spiciness: If you prefer a spicier taco, you can add sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce.
