Description

Ingredients

1 tablespoon butter

3 garlic cloves, grated

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup chicken broth or stock

1 cup half-and-half or heavy cream, warmed
Instructions

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

Add grated garlic and Italian seasoning; sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.

Let simmer for 3–5 minutes to reduce slightly.

Slowly whisk in the warmed half-and-half or heavy cream.

Cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3–5 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, simmer longer or add a small slurry of cornstarch mixed with water.
Can be made dairy-free by substituting with coconut cream and vegetable broth.
