Description

A luscious, savory garlic sauce made with butter, fragrant garlic, and Italian herbs, simmered in chicken broth and finished with creamy half-and-half or heavy cream. Perfect for drizzling over pasta, chicken, or vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 3 garlic cloves, grated

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1 cup chicken broth or stock

  • 1 cup half-and-half or heavy cream, warmed


Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

  • Add grated garlic and Italian seasoning; sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

  • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.

  • Let simmer for 3–5 minutes to reduce slightly.

  • Slowly whisk in the warmed half-and-half or heavy cream.

  • Cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3–5 minutes.

 

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, simmer longer or add a small slurry of cornstarch mixed with water.

Can be made dairy-free by substituting with coconut cream and vegetable broth.
