Description

A sweet and spicy twist on the classic Chex Mix, this Hot Honey Chex Mix combines crunchy cereal, salty pretzels, and cashews coated in a luscious hot honey butter sauce. Perfect for snacking, parties, or game day!

Mix:

  • 4 cups Rice Chex Mix

  • 4 cups Corn Chex Mix

  • 3 cups Wheat Chex Mix

  • 3 cups pretzels

  • 4 cups salted cashews (1620 oz)

Hot Honey Butter Sauce:

  • 1 cup salted butter

  • 2/3 cup hot honey* (a spicy honey infused with chili or similar)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, combine Rice Chex, Corn Chex, Wheat Chex, pretzels, and salted cashews.

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in hot honey until well combined and smooth. Remove from heat.

  • Pour the hot honey butter sauce over the cereal mix, stirring gently to coat everything evenly.

  • Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Bake for 45-60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating and crispiness.

 

  • Remove from oven and let cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.

Notes

Adjust the amount of hot honey for your preferred spice level.

Use gluten-free pretzels and cereals to make this gluten-free.
