Ingredients
-
1½ lb salmon, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
-
1 teaspoon paprika
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon onion powder
-
¾ teaspoon salt
-
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
-
3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
-
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
-
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
-
3 tablespoons soy sauce
-
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
-
¼ cup honey
-
2 teaspoons sesame seeds
-
2 teaspoons chopped chives
Instructions
-
Pat dry the salmon cubes with paper towels. Season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Pour about 1 tablespoon of olive oil and massage the salmon cubes to coat evenly.
-
Heat a heavy skillet with 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add salmon cubes in a single layer and cook for 4–5 minutes, flipping often, until crispy and golden. Transfer cooked salmon to a plate and repeat with remaining cubes.
-
In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Sauté garlic and ginger for 1 minute until fragrant.
-
Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey. Simmer the sauce for 3–5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
-
Return the crispy salmon to the skillet and toss well to coat with the sauce. Adjust seasoning if needed.
-
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped chives. Serve over rice and enjoy!
Notes
Add cayenne pepper for a spicy kick if desired.
Cube salmon evenly for consistent cooking.
Dry salmon thoroughly to remove moisture for crispiness.
