Description

These crispy honey garlic salmon bites are tender on the inside and perfectly golden outside, tossed in a sticky, flavorful sauce with a hint of garlic and ginger. Quick and easy, they make an impressive appetizer or main dish served over rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • lb salmon, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • ¾ teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided

  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

  • ¼ cup honey

  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds

  • 2 teaspoons chopped chives

Instructions

  • Pat dry the salmon cubes with paper towels. Season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Pour about 1 tablespoon of olive oil and massage the salmon cubes to coat evenly.

  • Heat a heavy skillet with 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add salmon cubes in a single layer and cook for 4–5 minutes, flipping often, until crispy and golden. Transfer cooked salmon to a plate and repeat with remaining cubes.

  • In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Sauté garlic and ginger for 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey. Simmer the sauce for 3–5 minutes until it thickens slightly.

  • Return the crispy salmon to the skillet and toss well to coat with the sauce. Adjust seasoning if needed.

  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped chives. Serve over rice and enjoy!

Notes

Add cayenne pepper for a spicy kick if desired.

Cube salmon evenly for consistent cooking.

Dry salmon thoroughly to remove moisture for crispiness.
