This creamy, savory Baked Crack Chicken is loaded with flavor from garlic, onion, dill, and bacon, and topped with melted cheddar cheese. It’s an easy and irresistible dish that’s perfect for dinner or meal prep.

1 ½ pounds chicken breasts

¾ teaspoon dried dill

1 ½ tablespoons apple cider vinegar

8 ounces cream cheese, cut into cubes

4 slices bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled

1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 green onion, thinly sliced (for garnish)
Instructions

Prepare the Chicken:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with chives, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt. Sear the chicken breasts in the skillet for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove from heat. -
Assemble the Dish:
In a small bowl, mix together apple cider vinegar, water, and cream cheese cubes. Pour this mixture over the chicken breasts in a baking dish. Top with crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese. -
Bake:
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F or 74°C). The cream cheese should be melted, and the cheese should be bubbly. -
Serve:
Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately. This dish goes great with vegetables, rice, or potatoes.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil the chicken for 2-3 minutes after baking to brown the cheese.
You can substitute the bacon for turkey bacon or omit it for a lighter version.
You can also prepare the chicken ahead of time and bake it just before serving.
