Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or lemon wedges for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the salmon: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if you’re baking the salmon. Otherwise, you can pan-sear it.
- Season the salmon fillets with salt, pepper, and dried thyme (if using).
- Make the honey-garlic sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice.
- Cook the salmon:
- For Baking: Place the seasoned salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spoon or brush the honey-garlic mixture over the top of the fillets. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- For Pan-Searing: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 3-4 minutes per side. After flipping, pour the honey-garlic sauce over the fillets and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from the heat and garnish with fresh parsley or lemon wedges, if desired.
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness of the sauce by adding more or less honey depending on your taste.
- If you prefer a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce for a little heat.
- Serve this salmon with your favorite side dishes, like roasted vegetables, rice, or a crisp salad.
