Description

A versatile, flavorful Asian-inspired dressing that’s perfect for salads, grain bowls, or as a marinade. Made with soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, vinegar, olive oil, and a touch of sweetness, it adds a tangy, savory kick to any dish.

Ingredients

Scale

Big Batch (Makes ~1 cup):

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil

  • 1/4 cup white vinegar (adjust to taste for sharpness)

  • 1/4 cup olive oil (Note 1)

  • 1 tablespoon sugar (any type) or 1 1/2 tablespoons honey

Single Serving Batch:

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (Note 1)

  • 1 teaspoon sugar (any type) or 1 1/2 teaspoons honey

Instructions

  1. In a jar or bowl, combine all dressing ingredients.

  2. Whisk or shake well until sugar or honey is fully dissolved and dressing is emulsified.

  3. Taste and adjust vinegar or sweetness according to your preference.

  4. Use immediately or refrigerate for up to one week. Shake well before each use.

Notes

(Note 1) Use a good-quality olive oil for best flavor. For a lighter taste, substitute part of the olive oil with a neutral oil.

The big batch can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge and used within a week.

Great on green salads, noodle salads, or as a dipping sauce.
